About Jodi

Founder of heyHUMANTIS

Hi, I’m Jodi.

I’m a mom, a wife, and Punjabi. My pronouns are she/her. I’m a daughter of immigrants and a first-generation Canadian, raised on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations — now known as Vancouver.

Over time, and through lived experience, I’ve come to understand my work — and myself — through the lens of being a woman of colour navigating complex systems at work and beyond. That perspective continues to shape how I think about people, power, responsibility, and care in workplaces.

I bring over 25 years of experience across the public sector and non-profit space, working as an HR Generalist, Manager, and Senior Advisor, as well as serving on boards. My work has spanned HR guidance, workplace projects, coaching, training, facilitation, and mentorship.

At the heart of my work is a belief that humanity belongs in our workplaces and communities — not as a “nice to have,” but as a responsibility. When respect, acknowledgement, and human dignity are built into everyday decisions and systems, people and organizations both do better.

I’m known for being a thoughtful communicator who can make sense of complexity and turn it into clear, practical next steps. I bring a grounded presence, a sense of humour, and creativity into my work.

Alongside my HR work, I’ve always had a creative practice in fashion and jewellery design — and that creative lens continues to shape how I think about people, systems, and possibility.
