Hi, I'm Jodi.

I'm a Punjabi woman, daughter of immigrants, and mom. As a first-generation Canadian, I grew up in East Vancouver, on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

I've spent much of my life being curious about people. Why we do what we do. How our identities and experiences shape us. How we influence one another. And why we sometimes find ourselves navigating systems that don't leave much room for us to be who we are. My lived experiences, both personal and professional, have shaped how I see the world. From more than 25 years working within complex organizations to my entrepreneurial adventures in fashion and jewellery design in the early 2000s, they've given me plenty of reasons to question the expectations we place on ourselves and one another, the systems we navigate and why we do things the way we do.

My career has spanned human resources management and organizational. I've worked across the public and non-profit sectors as an advisor, manager, facilitator, coach and mentor. One thing I've learned is that understanding people requires more than understanding policies, processes or organizational structures.

Today, my work takes different forms: writing my book, developing Human at Work learning experiences, hosting podcasts, exploring Intentification® and returning to my creative roots through Sustainable Threads. They might seem like very different pursuits, but they're connected by my curiosity about what it means to be human, the choices we make and the impact we have on one another.
